Sassuolo are still unbeaten with a 5-3 fireworks display against Genoa, but Coach Roberto De Zerbi assures “we can still improve.”

The Neroverdi are remarkably in second place and one of only two teams unbeaten after three rounds – the other being leaders Juventus.

Fiorentina have only played two games, as their clash with Sampdoria was rescheduled for September 19.

“We’ve got to relax and not look too far ahead,” insisted De Zerbi.

“We’ve got to relax and not look too far ahead,” insisted De Zerbi.

“I said before the season began that we had a strong squad, but we are also young and in some circumstances that can be dangerous.

“We need to learn that the game isn’t over until the final whistle and hopefully tonight will help knock that into our heads.”

Sassuolo had been 5-1 up before allowing two late Genoa goals to open it up again at the Mapei Stadium.

“We can still improve, we have to improve and we will improve. I am not too tied to tactical systems, it’s more about interpretation and the characteristics of the opponent.”
