Roma are reportedly considering Antonio Conte and Vincenzo Montella as potential replacements for Eusebio Di Francesco.

Di Francesco’s position has come under fire after Roma made their worst start to a season for six years and both Calciomercato.com and CalcioNews24 believe it has caused the Giallorossi to look elsewhere.

The websites agree Conte ‘remains the dream’ but warn he would come at a ‘considerable cost’, given he is still contracted to Chelsea.

On the other hand, CalcioNews24 claims the Lupi could even turn to their former striker and caretaker in Montella.

The former Milan Coach is currently out of work after leaving Sevilla at the end of last season and is described as an ‘intriguing’ prospect, given his links to the club.

‘Aeroplanino’ scored over 80 Serie A goals for Roma and coached the side for the second half of the 2010-11 campaign, before making way for Luis Enrique.

Nonetheless, it is emphasised Di Francesco will remain in charge ‘at least for a few more weeks’, with the international break being followed by the return of the Champions League.
