Manchester United and Barcelona are both reportedly eyeing sporting director Monchi, but a break with Roma doesn’t appear to be imminent.
The Spaniard has developed a reputation as one of the best transfer operators in Europe, and has spent two seasons in the role with the Giallorossi.
Manchester United are looking for a more specialist sporting director to replace Ed Woodward, and today’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports that they’re keeping tabs on Monchi.
Barcelona are also interested, but as things stand it’s highly unlikely that he’ll break with Roma.
There is a great relationship with President James Pallotta, who will do whatever it takes to keep Monchi.
