“It’s great to be here, I don’t feel any pressure and I know what I want,” the 21-year-old said at a Press conference.

“I don’t feel like a leader, but I work hard to give my best and remain focused. We’re facing a formidable team like Poland, who have dangerous players, and it’s for that reason we’ll have to be very careful.

“We need to raise the level of Italian football, us youngsters are doing all we can and we hope the others will give us a hand.

“My [Cagliari] Coach has clear ideas, he knows what he wants and it was seen against Atalanta

“On the contrary, we struggled against Empoli but hope to improve with time and comfortably stay up.

I feel like a mezz’ala, but I’ve also helped my team as a No 10 and a holding midfielder and did so with pleasure. It doesn’t matter where I play.

“The transfer market? I feel at home with the team of my city. Together with the President, I decided to prolong my relationship with them, rejecting the offers that came my way.

“I didn’t even take them into consideration. My first choice has always been Cagliari.”
