Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi has become a transfer target for Barcelona, claim Spanish media, so Roma are eager not to miss out again.
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the Blaugrana have set their sights on Berardi for a summer swoop.
They see him as an alternative to Luis Suarez in the trident attack.
Roma have long been linked with the 24-year-old Italian, especially as he’d reunite with former Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco and teammate Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Berardi has scored 68 goals with 46 assists in 196 competitive games for Sassuolo.
His temperament has always been an issue, as he received five straight red cards and 54 bookings.
The Giallorossi already clashed with Barcelona in recent weeks, as Bordeaux winger Malcom was at the airport waiting for a flight to Rome when the Catalans intervened with an improved offer.
