“The next few games will be very important and difficult for us. Everyone expects more of Sassuolo now and that has to act as further motivation to raise our game,” De Zerbi told La Gazzetta di Modena.

“We have to be ready to resume on the right foot against Juventus. We try to help feed the strikers, but also they must all put themselves at the service of the team.

“We’ve achieved nothing yet and have huge margins for improvement.”

Domenico Berardi had a reputation for a bad attitude, but De Zerbi has seen none of that.

“I didn’t expect him to be so good, nor so ready to work hard. I’m very pleased with him.”
