Hector Herrera’s agent has warned Inter and Roma that the midfielder will not leave Porto in January.
Herrera’s expiring status had reportedly alerted Inter and Roma to his signature, but Gabriel Moraes made it clear the Mexican would at least honour his contract with Porto.
“He won’t leave Porto this season, he wants to respect his contract until it expires,” he told O Jogo.
“There’s been some contact, but no-one was able to reach an agreement with Porto and Hector.
“He respects the decision made by the club. Right now he’s totally focused on the season with Porto, he’s the captain and he’ll have many important matches to play.
“There’s never been a meeting with [Julen] Lopetegui. Real Madrid have a very strong midfield and it’s not an area where they’re looking for reinforcements.
“My job is to talk to Porto and try solving the situation, and that’s what I’ll do. There’s a lot of time until January and we’ll meet on several occasions to talk about his future.”
