A transfer tug-of-war is reportedly brewing between Inter and Milan for Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Milan executives will watch Barella ‘carefully’ during Sunday’s clash in Sardinia.
The newspaper explains the Rossoneri can lower Cagliari’s €40m asking price by offering players in exchange, while Elliott Management is ‘already working’ on increasing revenue streams.
However, Inter would have set their sights on the 21-year-old ‘for a long time’ and already opened talks with Rossoblu President Tommaso Giulini.
Barella has appeared in all four of his side’s Serie A matches this season and was called up for Italy’s recent fixtures against Poland and Portugal.
