Marco Giampaolo’s Blucerchiati are in sparkling form after thrashing Napoli 3-0, including a goal of the season contender from Quagliarella.

His back-heel flick volley went viral all over the world and with good reason.

There’s even more pressure on his shoulders this evening, as Riccardo Saponara, Dennis Praet and Vasco Regini are injured, with Gaston Ramirez not 100 per cent fit.

Quagliarella is again partnered by ex-Sassuolo and Roma forward Gregoire Defrel, with Gianluca Caprari in the trequartista role.

Frosinone had a rough reintroduction to Serie A, as they were battered 4-0 by Atalanta, then had to play behind closed doors and on neutral turf against Bologna.

That ban was punishment for their unsporting behaviour in the Serie B promotion play-off with Palermo, having among other things thrown spare balls on to the pitch during attacks to break up the momentum.

Joel Campbell was injured for the 1-0 defeat to Lazio, but the Costa Rica international is back on the bench, with Camillo Ciano partnering Stipe Perica.

Frosinone: Sportiello; Brighenti, Salamon, Krajnc; Zampano, Chibsah, Maiello, Soddimo, Molinaro; Ciano, Perica

Sampdoria: Audero; Bereszynski, Colley, Andersen, Murru; Barreto, Ekdal, Linetty; Caprari; Quagliarella, Defrel
