Inter and Napoli target Stanislav Lobotka says “we’ll see what happens in January”, and confirms he wants to play in the Champions League.
Both Serie A sides, along with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, were linked with the Slovakian midfielder in the summer, but he ultimately decided to stay with Celta Vigo.
“Yes, in the summer there were offers from different clubs, but I’ll play with Celta at least for half the season,” Lobotka told Marca.
“It’s clear that all Celta players want to try and adventure with one of the bigger clubs in Europe. In football, everyone wants to play in the Champions League.
“I’m focused on doing well with Celta, then we’ll see what happens in January.”
Lobotka’s release clause is believed to be around €42m, but Champions League progression could provide Inter or Napoli with the funds to activate it.
