“The truth is that this is an enormous club, bigger than any player, and we must give our best for the team. Today we hope to play well.”

It is a far cry from the Champions League to visiting a club in Luxembourg with some semi-professional players.

“Dudelange qualified for the Europa League group phase and this is a competitive European game, so it’s always important to start a tournament on the right foot.

“If we want to get back to the past glories in Europe, we have to start the journey well here. We’ve all got to grow, mature and work together. It’s not an easy journey, but the team and the club are really eager, which makes everything easier.”
