Sampdoria boss Marco Giampaolo insists he has cleared the air with Fabio Quagliarella after his frustration at being substituted against Fiorentina.
Giampaolo and Quagliarella risked falling out just two weeks after the forward’s wonder flick against Napoli, but the Coach assured the 35-year-old would be in the squad to face Inter on Saturday.
“We need to recover our energy because the game will be challenging,” he said at a Press conference.
“It will be a blind date that we’ll discover when we turn on the light. Inter have an engine superior to ours, but if we want to have a good performance then we have to recover.
“For Samp to be competitive, they must be fully prepared. Strategies are purely theoretical, you need to be good at many other things.
“In order to have chances to compete, you need to have the perfect match. Praet is well and available. Quagliarella? He doesn’t need to apologise.
“It’s a matter of group management because I’m coaching a group of 25 players. The important thing is to clarify and address any problems.
“I always do that because I don’t want to leave any stone unturned. We must also take into account the mental aspect of the player.
“They are dynamics that I understand and know. The important thing for me is the management of 25 players.
“What matters is Samp, who are above everything else. Caprari? He is a player who has numbers and shots. He probably needs continuity, and I hope I can give it to him.”
