The Biancocelesti notched up their fourth consecutive victory in all competition, but while the others were all by a one-goal margin, they flattened Genoa at the Olimpico.

“Felipe Caicedo had an incredible game against Apollon in the Europa League on Thursday and I thought he earned this opportunity,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We have a lot of quality in attack, from Ciro Immobile to Joaquin Correa and Luis Alberto. I wanted to keep Caicedo at all costs because I believe in his potential.

Lazio are improving, but we’ve got no time to lose, as there’s another game on Wednesday and again on Saturday. We can’t take a break or pause for breath.”

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic also broke his goal drought today.

“I told him before the game to stay calm and not worry about criticism. He had a good day and he deserved that.”

Simone’s brother Pippo earned a shock result today, as Bologna beat Roma 2-0.

“Bologna did really well and I’d told my brother during the week that he could do it. Bologna were unlucky so far this season and his work will help steer them into calmer waters.”
