Roma have reportedly sounded out former Fiorentina boss Paulo Sousa to replace the under-fire Eusebio Di Francesco.
According to ItaSportPress, Di Francesco has two games to save his job, starting against Frosinone on Wednesday, before the Derby della Capitale with Lazio at the weekend.
The website also notes Giallorossi President James Pallotta spoke of his ‘disgust’ before sacking Rudi Garcia two-and-a-half years ago.
Consequently, Corriere dello Sport believes that while Antonio Conte is the ‘dream’, Sousa is the most realistic option to replace the former Sassuolo Coach.
The Portuguese has Serie A experience, coaching Fiorentina between 2015 and 2017, and is currently in charge of Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian.
ItaSportPress adds the 48-year-old was in London on Sunday, where Pallotta’s right-hand man Franco Baldini resides.
