Ciro Ferrara but believes Max Allegri and Carlo Ancelotti will keep things unpredictable in today’s Juventus-Napoli showdown.

“Ancelotti realised that without Jorginho, the 4-3-3 system had its limitations. A great Coach like him evaluates carefully the pros and cons of every system when combined with the men at his disposal,” the former defender of both Juve and Napoli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He modified the position of the most technically-gifted player in the squad and the more he scores, the more Lorenzo Insigne is getting greedy for goals. It’s a little like what happened when Maurizio Sarri moved Dries Mertens to the role of centre-forward.

“With the new 4-4-2 system, the defence is better protected and the team is under less pressure.”

While Ancelotti returns to Serie A after experiences at Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, Allegri is targeting the Champions League with Juventus.

“In my view, Allegri and Ancelotti are the Coaches in Serie A who can best read the game and have the ability to make adjustments while the match is in progress,” continued Ferrara.

“This is why I believe we’ll have some surprises in the second half, such as a change of system or even simply the way of interpreting the game by substitutes.

“Miralem Pjanic is the key man for Juve, as he has become indispensable to get the ball moving around and can also be lethal from set plays.

“As for Napoli, I’d say Jose Callejon. The Spaniard keeps the balance when helping the defence and remains unpredictable with his attacking runs. His understanding with Insigne is spectacular.”
