Ciro Immobile had cancelled out a Lorenzo Pellegrini back-heel flick, but Aleksandar Kolarov’s free kick and a Federico Fazio header sealed the 3-1 result in the Derby della Capitale.

“Roma were more determined than Lazio and believed in it more. We conceded three goals from three dead ball situations, but I thought we had deservedly equalised and unfortunately were caught out by a free kick,” the Lazio Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We had more possession, Roma closed up and went more on the counter than they usually do. We didn’t react in the best way, but we’ll learn from the experience.

“I thought the inertia of the game would change with the equaliser and make it far more open, but unfortunately we conceded just three minutes after drawing level.

“We created more chances in the first half and had more of the ball, but Roma deserved the victory because they were more determined.

“Our first 20 minutes were excellent and we deserved more. We should’ve been more concentrated, but if you concede goals from set plays, you probably are going to lose.”
