Eusebio Di Francesco believes Roma are only missing ‘balance’ and Edin Dzeko’s goals ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen.

Big wins against Frosinone and Lazio have let Roma regain their form and eased the pressure on Di Francesco, but the Coach made it clear his side could ill-afford to slow down, while singling out the ‘very important’ Dzeko.

“I’ve just reiterated a concept to my players,” he said at a Press conference.

“I only talked about balance, in knowing how to work and give continuity to what we’re doing, even if we’ve just won a crucial match.

“I think for us, it’s the most important base from which to start over. I’ve always worked so much on the 4-3-3, like I am now on 4-2-3-1 so we can alternate between the two systems.

“I also switched to a 4-3-3 during the derby when I brought on Cristante, plus it depends on your opponents.

“Kolarov’s a doubt, so it’ll be up to me to decide whether he plays or not. However I have to congratulate him, he’s been great.

“Kluivert could play from the first minute. Dzeko only has to get back among the goals. They’re what he lives for, but I liked his performance in the derby.

“He was decisive in our first goal and in other situations, and he’s someone I’m holding on to. He’s someone who likes an arm around him and he’s very important to us.

“Tomorrow we’ll be facing a physical team. We’ll have to impose ourselves and then assert our technical quality.

“Training is the basis of good performances, the example being Santon. How did we play two close games at a high level? With training and a professional attitude.

“Turning things around requires physical and mental strength. Without these things, you won’t go anywhere.”
