Club Italia aims to support the activities of the various national teams through co-ordination and shared expertise.

There are four bodies within it: the medical area, scouting, match analysis, and performance and research.

Marotta would be in charge of overseeing Club Italia and ensuring that all the bodies are working well together and individually.

With his years of experience as a sporting director and general manager he’s already familiar with scouting processes and the other various components of running a club side.
