The Nerazzurri fought back to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in a dramatic Champions League opener and visit PSV tomorrow.

“We’ve got to ensure we are ready and a play a game worthy of Inter,” said the goalkeeper in his Press conference.

“I think you can see how important everyone is in the squad and when called upon, they deliver. There’s nothing better than that, as we need everyone this season.

“I don’t believe tomorrow’s game will be decisive, as there are another four to go after that. It’s still early days and we need to get to at least mid-season before giving any kind of judgment.”

The star man for PSV is Mexico international Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano, who shares many characteristics with Lorenzo Insigne.

“There isn’t just Lozano, as their other winger is also quick and runs straight for goal. We’ll hear a lot about these young players in future. We’re prepared, as we have studied them carefully and know who we are facing.”

Handanovic has long been one of Serie A’s top goalkeepers, but this is his first ever Champions League participation.

“I prepared for it the same as any other game. What really struck me against Tottenham was the atmosphere in the stadium after the second goal. That’s what gives you a strong emotional response.”
