The former Romanian MEP was discussing Steaua talent Vasile Moruțan on a television programme, and made some big claims about the 19-year-old.
“If Steaua get to the Champions League and Romania qualify for the European Championships, he’ll be worth €100m” Becali insisted.

The former Romanian MEP was discussing Steaua talent Vasile Moruțan on a television programme, and made some big claims about the 19-year-old.
“If Steaua get to the Champions League and Romania qualify for the European Championships, he’ll be worth €100m” Becali insisted.
“And I’ll sell him for €150m. I’m smarter than the others. If not I’ll sell him for €30m. At his age Modric was at half the level of Moruțan.
“Can we compare him to Dybala? Dybala is 26 years old and is a 1.65m dwarf.”
Dybala is 24 and is 1.77m tall, 5cm taller than Moruțan.
Becali has been criticised in the past for his views on LGBT people and people of colour, allegedly refusing to sign Florent Sinama-Pongolle because he is black.
In 2009 he was jailed for kidnapping three man who he believed stole his car. Becali and four of his bodyguards were arrested after the men were threatened with guns and imprisoned in the boot of a car.
