Former Juventus and Argentina star Carlos Tevez admits ‘I don’t like football’ and would ‘watch golf’ over the Clasico.
Tevez will retire from football at the end of next year, when his Boca Juniors contract expires, and is currently working on a TV series, documenting his difficult upbringing in Buenos Aires.
“Do I watch football? No, never. I don’t like football,” the veteran forward told Clarin.
“If there’s the Clasico on TV and a golf tournament on another channel, I’ll watch the golf.
“I’ve never been a match fanatic. I like to play football and have the ball between my feet.
“How was winning the Libertadores? The best satisfaction a player can have. With this series, we decided to tell my story as it is.
“Nothing is missing from it: from the day I got the scar on my face to my debut with Boca. It wasn’t easy for me.
“I experienced everything there is to experience in a suburban neighbourhood: drugs, weapons and robberies.
“Despite this, we were happy children. We always played football and that was enough.”
