“Do I watch football? No, never. I don’t like football,” the veteran forward told Clarin.

“If there’s the Clasico on TV and a golf tournament on another channel, I’ll watch the golf.

“I’ve never been a match fanatic. I like to play football and have the ball between my feet.

“How was winning the Libertadores? The best satisfaction a player can have. With this series, we decided to tell my story as it is.

“Nothing is missing from it: from the day I got the scar on my face to my debut with Boca. It wasn’t easy for me.

“I experienced everything there is to experience in a suburban neighbourhood: drugs, weapons and robberies.

“Despite this, we were happy children. We always played football and that was enough.”
