Reports in the UK claim Chelsea are willing to pay €23m to sign Brescia talent Sandro Tonali.
The 18-year-old has been linked with a host of Serie A clubs, and has already been saddled with the tag of the new Pirlo.
Milan, Juventus, Roma, Napoli and Sampdoria have all been following him, according to the midfielder’s agent.
Now The Sun is claiming that Chelsea sent scouts to watch Tonali in the 4-1 win over Padova, and are willing to pay £20m [€22.7m] to sign him.
Tonali was part of the Italy Under-19 side which reached the European Championship final in the summer.
