The Azzurri are expected to line up largely in the same way they did in Wednesday’s 1-1 friendly draw with Ukraine, using a trident of Federico Bernardeschi, Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Chiesa.

Immobile sent out a message on his Instagram Stories today, merely an image of his goal tally for Lazio in 2018 with the emoji of finger against lips urging silence.

He has 57 Serie A goals for Lazio in total, 18 of them in 2018, an average of 0.75 goals per Serie A game.

“The message was to you in the media and not to me,” assured Coach Mancini in his Press conference.

“I am very happy if he continues to score goals for Lazio. I also hope he scores them for the Nazionale.”

The 28-year-old has seven goals and two assists in 34 senior Italy caps.

However, Immobile fired blanks in his last eight Azzurri appearances since a 1-0 World Cup qualifier against Israel on September 5, 2017.
