Lautaro Martinez’s father admits ‘there’s a bit of anger and impatience’ on his part in seeing the forward not play for Inter.
Inter paid Racing Club €23m for Martinez over the summer, but the Argentine has been limited to just four official appearances for the Nerazzurri, with Mauro Icardi established as their lone striker.
“There’s a bit of anger and impatience in seeing Lautaro not playing, but that’s football and you have to respect the rules of the game,” he told AM770.
“After seeing Inter’s preseason friendlies, I thought he’d always be starting. Sometimes it annoys you a bit when you don’t play, but that’s how it goes.
“His adaptation in Italy has gone very well, also because Icardi gave him a big hand. For now, Inter’s formation doesn’t use two strikers.
“That’s why it’s tough for Lautaro to play with Icardi, but they’re two players who complement each other well and have a beautiful friendship too.”
