Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli is still full of respect for Leonardo Bonucci - “everyone would want him in their team”.
The centre-back joined the Rossoneri as captain in the summer of 2017, but this summer he returned to Juventus after just 12 months in exchange for Mattia Caldara.
Romagnoli inherited the armband, but he doesn’t feel any bitterness toward his former teammate.
“Everyone knows the value of Leo, and everyone would want him in their team,” Romagnoli told Sky.
“He and the clubs made their choices, and we don’t regret the players we have here because Mateo [Musacchio] is doing very good things and [Mattia] Caldara is recovering and can give us a hand.
“He’s young, he has time, and he’ll show what he can do. We’re waiting for him with open arms, now he just needs to think about recovering well.”
