Davide Astori spent most of his career between Fiorentina and Cagliari, so when they face off this weekend there will be a joint commemoration.
The defender died suddenly in his sleep on March 4 in the Fiorentina team hotel in Udine, aged just 31.
The two clubs he represented the most were Cagliari on 179 appearances and 109 games for the Viola.
As the two clubs come together on Sunday for a Serie A match at the Stadio Franchi, it will be used as the ideal opportunity to honour Astori.
There will be a special choreography in the stands and a commemorative award handed over to his parents, Renato and Anna.
His family also attended the presentation of the first Premio Davide Astori in Sardinia last night, an award for the local press.
