Milan Badelj and Riza Durmisi received reassuring responses from medical tests performed by the Lazio staff today.

Midfielder Badelj returned from international duty with Croatia and immediately picked up a muscular problem in training.

“Badelj had tests today, because we observed that the muscular problems were persistent, but tests ruled out any evident lesions,” Doctor Fabio Rodia told Lazio Style Radio.

“We will repeat the tests over the next few days, but the player has already begun a personalised training regime. We are optimistic for his rapid return to the field.

“As for Durmisi, his recovery is proceeding as planned. We’ll make the final tests next week and based on those results will decide when to integrate him back into the squad.”

Both are nonetheless expected to miss this weekend’s game with Parma.
