Andrea Petagna scored to give SPAL their first Serie A victory away to Roma since his grandfather Francesco was their Coach in 1965.

It’s a family affair in the Eternal City for SPAL, who came full circle in a 2-0 result this afternoon.

Petagna converted a penalty before the Kevin Bonifazi header from a corner.

The last time SPAL managed to beat the Giallorossi in Rome was another 2-0 result in September 1965.

Curiously, the Coach of the Spallini that day was Francesco Petagna – Andrea’s grandfather.
