“I’ve been working in football for a long time and can tell you our last four defeats were down to the quality of the opposition,” insisted the Spanish Coach in his Press conference.

“We all saw how Napoli played against Paris Saint-Germain and the way Manchester United were beaten by Juventus, while Lazio also impressed in the Europa League.
“The only really costly result was against Bologna, as after a good first half, we took our foot off the gas. I nonetheless remain calm, as I can see the work the lads do during the week and our focus is entirely on three points against Genoa.
“I have respect for everyone, but I don’t listen to the criticism. I have faith in my squad and do not feel I am up for debate, especially as the performances – apart from Bologna – confirmed we’re on the right track.
“We can’t get it wrong against a very aggressive Genoa side that can reach the opposition goal very quickly. They have dynamic strikers and many options in attack.”
Rolando Mandragora is in doubt with a shoulder injury, while Seko Fofana and Rodrigo De Paul have recovered, but Bram Nuytinck and Lukasz Teodorczyk are out.
“I’ll reserve my right to decide in the morning on my line-up and even tactical system.”
