Florenzi was in doubt to feature after picking up a knock, but Sky Sport Italia claim he has passed a fitness test this morning and will be in the starting XI.

It remains to be seen where he’ll be playing, because the versatile Italy international could be used on the right side of the trident attack in place of Cengiz Under.

He’d provide more coverage in that role when dealing with Lorenzo Insigne down Napoli’s left.

In turn, Davide Santon would move to right-back.

There are also reports Juan Jesus will be preferred to Federico Fazio or Ivan Marcano at centre-back.

Roma are missing injured Javier Pastore, Justin Kluivert, Diego Perotti and Rick Karsdorp, but Daniele De Rossi and Aleksandar Kolarov should be fit to start after injury.

Simone Verdi, Adam Ounas, Sebastiano Luperto, Amin Younes and Vlad Chiriches are unavailable, but Faouzi Ghoulam is back in the squad for the first time since he ruptured his ACL in November 2017.

While Ancelotti has been using the so-called ‘three-and-a-half-man defence’ system in the Champions League against Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, he is expected to return to a more traditional 4-4-2 this evening.

That means Nikola Maksimovic and Fabian Ruiz on the bench, with Elseid Hysaj and Piotr Zielinski starting.

If Kevin Malcuit is chosen rather than Mario Rui, then Hysaj would move over to the left.

Arkadiusz Milik is the favourite to play in attack rather than Dries Mertens, with Lorenzo Insigne having shaken off a knock to his ribs at the Parc des Princes.

Probable line-ups

Napoli: Ospina; Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Callejon, Allan, Hamsik, Zielinski; Insigne, Milik

Roma: Olsen; Santon, Manolas, Jesus, Kolarov; De Rossi, Nzonzi; Florenzi, Lorenzo Pellegrini, El Shaarawy, Dzeko
