Andrea Pirlo chose his Champions League favourites, including Juventus, and revealed he is considering a future as a Coach.

The former midfield maestro retired after spell at NYCFC in MLS, having previously played for Brescia, Inter, Reggina, Milan and Juventus.

“I took the course over the summer, so would only be missing the Masters’ to get my certificate. It’s an idea that does intrigue me,” Pirlo told Sky Sport Italia.

“I took the course over the summer, so would only be missing the Masters’ to get my certificate. It’s an idea that does intrigue me,” Pirlo told Sky Sport Italia.

“I don’t know yet if it’s something that I will do, but I’ll decide in my own good time. If I were to become a Coach, it’d only be so I could do it the best way I can.”

Many of his former teammates are now Serie A tacticians, such as Pippo Inzaghi at Bologna and Milan’s Gennaro Gattuso.

“Ringhio is doing a great job and you can see that on the field. All the players are with him. In Serie A, Juventus are two steps above everyone else, whereas in the Champions League I see the favourites as Liverpool, Barcelona, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has joined the Bianconeri from Real Madrid and seems to be settling well into Serie A football.

“My former teammates tell me he is an exemplary professional. You can see the results on the pitch and I am not at all surprised.

“This Juventus side has so many options, including for free kicks, with the likes of Miralem Pjanic, Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.”
