Mattia Caldara’s injury is thought to be worse than first feared, and the Milan defender could be out for at least three months.
The centre-back joined the Rossoneri from Juventus this summer, arriving as part of a swap deal for Leonardo Bonucci.
Coach Gennaro Gattuso announced yesterday that the Italian international could be out for two months with an injury.
According to calciomercato.com though, Caldara has in fact torn a muscle in his right calf, which will keep him out for at least three months.
The 24-year-old has only made one appearance since joining the Rossoneri, as he’s battled a series of injury problems.
The website speculates his absence may prompt the Diavolo to look for a centre-back in January.
