Antonio Conte has refused to meet Chelsea to discuss an out of court settlement over his contract, according to reports in the UK.

The former Italy CT was sacked by the Blues in the summer, with Maurizio Sarri replacing him on the bench.

Conte would have been entitled to his final year’s salary, but the club argued just cause, citing his treatment of Diego Costa and criticism of the board.

According to Sky Sports News, a meeting was proposed to try to settle things out of court, but the former Juventus Coach refused.

His lawyers are working on one case for an employment tribunal and one for the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Conte is seeking damages on top of his final year’s salary, taking his total claim to around €26m.
