Milan could be fined up to €20m by UEFA for their Financial Fair Play breaches, as well as having a ban on registering players for the Europa League in January.

The Rossoneri were initially barred from the competition due to their financial situation, but they successfully appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The CAS ruled that the Diavolo should be reinstated, but returned the matter to UEFA to impose a more proportionate punishment.

Now La Repubblica is reporting that the first sanctions will arrive in the coming days, including a fine of around €20m.

Part of that will be payable immediately, while the rest will be suspended pending compliance with FFP limits.

There is also the possibility that Milan will be banned from registering any January signings for European competition, including the incoming Lucas Paqueta.

Those measures would be punishment for previous transgressions, and the Rossoneri must still work out a settlement agreement with the Club Financial Control Body.
