Reports say Juventus could move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Dembélé in January if they need midfield reinforcements.

Sami Khedira returned to the starting XI against Manchester United last night, but both he and Emre Can had been out for several weeks previously.

That left Massimiliano Allegri with only three fit central midfielders, namely Rodrigo Bentancur, Blaise Matuidi and Miralem Pjanic.

It’s hoped that Can will return to the squad in around a month, but Corriere di Torino believes the Bianconeri are still looking at alternatives in case he faces a longer time out after surgery on a thyroid nodule.

Top of the list is Dembélé, whose contract expires at the end of the season, meaning he could be available for a low fee in January.

The Belgian may prefer a lucrative move to China, but Juve are ready to try to bring him to Turin if the squad needs bolstered.
