These are the two form sides in Serie A right now, as Atalanta have won three on the bounce, while the Nerazzurri want an eighth straight victory.

“Inter are a very strong side and candidates to win the Scudetto,” said Gasp in his Press conference.

“This isn’t the Inter we saw over the last few years. They were vulnerable, but now they are a big team in every way.

“Luciano Spalletti’s teams play good football and get results. He has won over the crowd, as San Siro is always full, and that is a real achievement.

“It’ll be a different type of game for us, because usually opponents come to Bergamo and defend, but as Inter will play open football, we’ll have more spaces to run into. We’ve got to do well in order to make the most of them.

“Inter did well against Barcelona on Tuesday and deserved the draw. They dropped a few points in Serie A at the start of the season, but are now going at the same pace as Napoli and Juventus, as those three are basically having their own campaign apart from the rest.”

Icardi has put six goals past Atalanta, but none of them were at the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia in Bergamo.

“He is one of the best box players in the world, without doubt. He is simply deadly,” added the Atalanta Coach.

Rafael Toloi has shaken off an ankle problem and should start, but Jose Luis Palomino misses out along with Andrea Masiello, Arkadiusz Reca and Marco Tumminello.

Duvan Zapata is the favourite to play in attack rather than Musa Barrow, with support from Papu Gomez and Josip Ilicic.

Atalanta squad for Inter: Berisha, Rossi, Gollini; Toloi, Gosens, Bettella, Djimsiti, Castagne, Mancini, Hateboer, Ali Adnan; Valzania, Freuler, De Roon, Pessina, Kulusevski, Pasalic; Gomez, Rigoni, Ilicic, Zapata, Barrow
