Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain insists “I didn’t insult anyone” and “didn’t say anything offensive” after his red card last night.
Pipita reacted furiously to having a foul given against him, as he faced former side Juventus for the first time.
Having been booked, he screamed in the face of referee Paolo Mazzoleni and was shown a second yellow card.
“It seemed like an unfair foul, in my opinion I was fouled,” Higuain told Milan TV.
“I was booked, the referee knows what I said and I didn’t insult anyone. I apologise to the club, the fans, the Coach and my teammates because these things must be avoided.
“We’re people, we have emotions, the match wasn’t going the right way and that’s how it ended.
“My ban? The referee knows what I said, I didn’t say anything offensive.”
