Juventus interest in Bayern Munich’s Colombia international James Rodriguez could be on hold after a serious knee injury.
There had been repeated rumours of a possible January or June swoop, particularly so he could reunite with good friend and former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, the Colombian will be out of action for several weeks after suffering a partial tear of his lateral collateral ligament in the left knee.
It’s now unlikely James Rodriguez will be able to play again before the end of 2018.
He is in the second season of a two-year loan spell from Real Madrid, and so far this term contributed three goals in eight Bundesliga appearances.
