It’s reported Giacomo Bonaventura and Milan have decided he requires knee surgery, so will be out for three to five months.
The Italy international had various tests and consultations today, with the verdict seemingly erring on the side of a surgical solution.
He has been struggling with a recurring knee inflammation ever since pre-season and it is largely a cartilage issue.
According to the latest rumours, Milan will announce the op on Thursday, which is also when he’ll go under the knife.
It’s a heavy blow to the Rossoneri, who are already without Lucas Biglia, Mateo Musacchio and Mattia Caldara for several months.
