Marco Giampaolo hopes to remain Sampdoria’s Coach after 2020 and vows to leave behind ‘a great legacy’ at the club.
Giampaolo has successfully rebuilt his career at Samp, guiding the Blucerchiati to two top-half Serie A finishes with an exciting brand of football, and the Coach made it clear he would not bite the hand that fed him.
“Whoever takes over after June 2020 will change Samp’s style, at the end of my contract,” he told La Repubblica.
“It won’t be before then because I want to stay at least until the end of my contract, maybe beyond it, who knows?
“For my part, I hope to leave Sampdoria as late as possible. They’re my present and future. Whenever it is, I’ll leave behind a great legacy.
“I’ll end my story with this club and shirt in style.”
