Juventus and Napoli are set to battle it out for Toulouse defender Jean-Clair Todibo, the 18-year-old with a troubled history.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two Serie A clubs have both set their sights on the French-Guinean centre-back.

Napoli are the favourites, especially as his agent Bruno Satin also represents Kalidou Koulibaly.

It seems likely that if he were signed, he’d be left in Toulouse to the end of the season.

Although he won’t turn 19 until next month, Todibo has had his fair share of controversy and bad luck.

He was hit by a car when only eight years old, but nursed his mangled leg back to health and returned to playing a year later.

Originally a midfielder, Todibo moved to defence in the Toulouse youth academy and was promoted to centre-back this season.
