They could well be studying him ahead of the Champions League meeting between the two clubs at the Stadio Olimpico on November 27.

However, AS maintain the Merengues representatives are at the Estadio de Gran Canaria in Las Palmas to evaluate Dzeko for a potential transfer.

They are seeking a centre-forward to bolster their ranks in January, as Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus has led to a large drop in the number of goals scored.

Spain and Bosnia go head-to-head in an international friendly this evening and Dzeko is in the starting XI.

Roma had already rejected a large offer from Chelsea to sign Dzeko in January this year, but it remains to be seen if he’d be quite so willing to turn down Real Madrid.
