Former Inter President Massimo Moratti believes Giuseppe Marotta will be “very useful” for the Nerazzurri, and urges him to sign Federico Chiesa.
The former Juventus general manager was in China this weekend to meet owners Suning, and is expected to be appointed before the end of the month.
“I think if this decision has been made it’s because he can help the club,” Moratti explained to Sky.
“We’re talking about a person with experience and a complete knowledge of football and everything around it. He’ll be very useful to Inter.
“The President [Steven Zhang] told me about it and I gave my opinion, but the name was already in his mind.
“He’s achieved so many victories and his experience will be important, but it’s the players who bring home the results. So we hope that by reinforcing the club, the team can also win quickly.
“This Inter deserves to win trophies.
“Who should he sign? I’ve read about so many young Italians and I’d move on that front, considering we already have experienced profiles. Chiesa, for example, is very talented.”
