“We are facing a team of immense quality, but we want to prove what we can do,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It’s a fixture that must give us extra strength and motivation, playing a team full of world class players in a magnificent stadium.

“I think SPAL have the characteristics that can cause Juventus real problems and have to rely on those rather than change to fit our opponents.

“We must play our style of football, as it would be practically impossible to get a result if we all sat back behind the ball. We’ll keep the team tight only so that we don’t get pinned back into our own half. It’ll also be indispensable to stop the service coming through to Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Defender Francesco Vicari has not made the trip to Turin and is likely to be replaced by Kevin Bonifazi.

“We have various options, such as the choice between Pasquale Schiattarella and Mirko Valdifiori in midfield, while Mohamed Fares has recovered from his problem on international duty with Algeria.

“Alfred Gomis plays in goal, as he is the first choice. Thiago Cionek came back tired from international duty.”

SPAL squad for Juventus: Gomis, Milinkovic-Savic, Thiam; Bonifazi, Cionek, Djourou, Felipe, Simic; Costa, Dickmann, Everton, Fares, Kurtic, Lazzari, Missiroli, Schiattarella, Valdifiori, Valoti, Vitale; Antenucci, Floccari, Moncini, Paloschi, Petagna
