Adriano Galliani admits he tried to bring Maurizio Sarri and Marco Giampaolo to Milan. “I did court them.”
The former Rossoneri CEO is now reunited with President Silvio Berlusconi at Serie C club Monza.
Just before Sarri took over at Napoli, he had been in negotiations with Milan, but is now setting Premier League records at Chelsea.
“I think Sarri is a phenomenal Coach. An absolute phenomenon,” Galliani told Radio CRC.
“I am in love with tacticians who make their teams play beautiful football. It’s true, I did court Sarri. I also courted Giampaolo.
“I do like Coaches who approach the game in a certain way.”
Giampaolo was Sarri’s replacement at Empoli and is currently in charge of Sampdoria.
