The former Rossoneri CEO is now reunited with President Silvio Berlusconi at Serie C club Monza.

Just before Sarri took over at Napoli, he had been in negotiations with Milan, but is now setting Premier League records at Chelsea.

“I think Sarri is a phenomenal Coach. An absolute phenomenon,” Galliani told Radio CRC.

“I am in love with tacticians who make their teams play beautiful football. It’s true, I did court Sarri. I also courted Giampaolo.

“I do like Coaches who approach the game in a certain way.”

Giampaolo was Sarri’s replacement at Empoli and is currently in charge of Sampdoria.
