Inter might finally be able to sell Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa, as Everton are eager to sign the Brazilian when his Santos loan expires.

The Nerazzurri invested €29.5m to take him from Santos in August 2016, but he flopped spectacularly, not trusted with a single Serie A start and scoring only one goal.

A loan spell at Benfica was cut short too due to similar issues, as he was accused of lacking the work-rate necessary in training and during the match situation to play in Europe.

Gabigol returned to Santos on loan in January and has rediscovered his confidence with 19 goals in 42 games, but that deal is due to expire on December 31.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the 22-year-old feels he is ready for another stab at European football and Inter received an offer from Everton.

So far, the only proposal is a loan, but the Nerazzurri will only accept a sale and hope to make the most of this positive momentum around his Santos form to recoup at least some of the €29.5m.
