Stefano Pioli insists Fiorentina “deserved the victory” after their 0-0 draw with Bologna and shrugged off talk of a crisis.

This goalless result was their fifth consecutive Serie A stalemate, the longest run of draws since January 1990.

“We did everything we possibly could to win it, so I don’t want to hear talk of Fiorentina in crisis after that performance,” insisted the Coach on Sky Sport Italia.

“We did everything we possibly could to win it, so I don’t want to hear talk of Fiorentina in crisis after that performance,” insisted the Coach on Sky Sport Italia.

“We need to improve our finishing, but we played good football and that is the important thing. Serie A is very competitive, so it’s true we are without a win in six, but we are also unbeaten in five.

“If there was a team that deserved the victory today, it was Fiorentina. The lads mustn’t be depressed, as if we keep playing like this, we will get back to winning ways.

“It’s only natural that not getting results will make the players tense, but they are mature, despite their age. We have faith in everyone.”
