The wife and agent of Inter striker Mauro Icardi claims ‘if he thought about the Ballon d’Or, he would’ve wanted to change teams.’
Icardi has stayed loyal to Inter despite links with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United, as well as a feud with the club’s fans, and Wanda Nara made it clear the Nerazzurri were above everything else for her husband.
“Ballon d’Or? Mauro doesn’t think about it at all,” she told Tiki Taka.
“He plays for a team where he wants to play and takes each game as it comes.
“If he’d thought about the Ballon d’Or, he would’ve wanted to change teams. I don’t see Inter in a bad light ahead of their match against Juve.
“There were misunderstandings between Mauro and the fans, but over time their relationship has shown itself to be a serious one.
“He’s strong, he’s a professional who only thinks about the field. For example, there was this one occasion in Genoa when he was whistled but still scored two goals.”
