The FIGC has opened an investigation into Sampdoria owner Massimo Ferrero after some of his assets were seized.

Calciomercato.com reports the probe will be headed by FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Pecoraro, who has already reached out to the Prosecutor’s Office in Rome.

The federation’s involvement comes after €1.2m allegedly disappeared from the deal to take former Samp midfielder Pedro Obiang to West Ham in 2015.
