Giorgio Chiellini expected “a tough game” for Juventus at the Stadio Franchi, but found the target in a 3-0 victory over Fiorentina.

“I try to do my best, but we knew it would be a very tough game, especially as Fiorentina have crushed everyone on home turf,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.

“They immediately put the tempo high and the pressing on. We did well to hold out and defend when Fiorentina attacked, then make the most of the spaces when they opened up.”

The Bianconeri temporarily go 11 points clear at the top and it could well stay that way, as Inter visit Roma on Sunday evening and Napoli go to Atalanta on Monday.

“Juve, Napoli and Inter all have tough away fixtures this weekend. We’ll see in the winter break what the table looks like, but next week we’ve got a head-to-head with Inter and that should be a fascinating and difficult match.

“We’ve got to take it one game at a time. We achieved Champions League qualification, it’s still early December, so let’s see what happens.”
